Phoenix Initiative is a community based homeschool enrichment program based in the Upper Hudson Valley of New York. It provides a social learning environment centered around the developing child as a human being in body, soul and spirit. Classes provide healthy activities and experiences that allow children to unfold and grow as individuals within a community.
Phoenix Initiative began a teacher training in 2024 that incorporates various EduCareDo lessons. This work is for individuals who are called to support and participate in a spirit-led education for the future.
Year Ⅰ
8 workshops over the course of 11 months as well as Spirit-led Education for a Spirit-led Life course and a selection of lessons from the Foundations in Anthroposophy.
The next training begins in October 2026 in person from 9am-1pm. Online options are available.
Year I Fee: The training is $3300USD plus $650AUD for the EduCareDo materials. Payments can be made in instalments when requested.
Year Ⅱ
The second year offers opportunities for observations within various educational settings as well as small group work and study facilitated by the Phoenix circle of teachers. Intensives in speech and singing are offered as well as workshops focused on artistic activity.
Course participants are strongly encouraged to enrol into and engage in Lisa Romero’s course through the Inner Development for World Development as the study materials for Year II.
Year II Fee: US $3,300 (this includes all of the above as well as 2 individual, in-person meetings with a Phoenix teacher. The Inner Development for World Development course is an additional cost). Payments can be made in instalments when requested.

Year Ⅲ
The third year supports course participants to refine, practice and evolve their contribution towards the future through Spirit-led Education. A selection of lessons from subject courses are made available according to the course participant’s focus for the year. The training is individualised towards Spirit-led Education through meetings with Meaghan Witri.
